I love Ethos and LOVE Kaitlyn. The best salon and stylist on the west side. She is truly so talented with color and creative styling. When I first went to Kaitlyn I had moved from NYC and was hesitant to find someone new. My hair has always been an important part of my expression and I cherish the relationships I have with my hair stylist. Kaitlyn, owner of Ethos, can do it all with a sweet and chill attitude. She makes you feel confident and comfortable. Technically-she is excellent at color and cut. She was able to touch up a particular bleach blonde look I had done in NYC and blend my natural gray pattern with such artistic precision. I would be stopped weekly by people asking who did my hair. She also shaped a beautiful bob for me as I grew out a pixie. Later, when I wanted to go back to my natural brown and honey highlights, and cover my gray pattern-she whipped up a color blend that is now my go to and I love it! Needless to say I always leave Ethos feeling happy and confident. I know at Ethos I can creatively play with color and style.

I also want to note I’m just shy of 40, Queer and particular about who I want to support and let do my hair. It can be vulnerable-we all have a wtf story I’m sure with a color mess up or not feeling heard/seen-Ethos is a place I would recommend to my queer friends looking for funky color and my mom friends who want to feel confident and refreshed. Plan for about 75 minutes for a Women's Haircut. This service includes a cleansing wash and a precision cut tailored to your face shape and hair texture.

A Full Balayage at Ethos Hair Studio involves a hand-painted technique that gives a natural-looking, sun-kissed blend throughout your hair. This service lasts about 210 minutes and is perfect for multidimensional radiance.

In our Shampoo + Blowdry service, you'll enjoy a relaxing cleanse followed by a high-end blowout that lasts about 60 minutes. This leaves your hair smooth, voluminous, and ready for any occasion.

You'll find Ethos Hair Studio at 1636 Abbot Kinney Blvd, Venice, CA. We're conveniently situated to serve the local community with our exceptional hair services.

The Bleach and Tone service takes approximately 180 minutes. It includes a complete pre-lightening treatment followed by a custom toning session for vibrant results.

You can schedule a toner/gloss treatment as an essential maintenance step to refresh your color between full appointments. This service takes around 30 minutes and neutralizes unwanted tones.

A Full Highlight involves a comprehensive foil application for maximum brightness, while a Partial Highlight focuses on the top layers and face-framing areas. Both take about 210 minutes.

The Mini Face Frame Highlight service takes around 140 minutes. It focuses on the hairline and fringe area to enhance your look with a high-contrast pop of color.

Yes, the fringe trim is a quick maintenance service lasting about 15 minutes. This allows you to keep your bangs looking sharp without committing to a full haircut.
